LITTLE HOUSE IN THE BIG WOODS
AQUALA ENGLISH

I listened to the audio version of “Little House in the Big Woods” on YouTube.
I had read the book in Japanese, so I could roughly grasp the content.

As with Etsuko Ichihara’s “Manga Japanese Folk Tales”, what is conveyed in the world of voice and the world of letters might be different. But, even it is 19th century English, it is not as different as the literary style of the Meiji era and the colloquial style of today.

Laura’s days in the world of the big forest emerges from her voice, “Pa, Ma,” or the audio descriptions of her daily life.

The violin music played by Laura’s father had a bright, bouncing melody, and it was very interesting to hear how the music was like this.
